The Kentucky Early Childhood Standards describe what children should know and be able to do from birth through age 4. In this course, we will examine the standards and their essential components: standards, benchmarks, developmental continuum and example behaviors. You will see videos of infants and young children and hear from teachers and educators regarding the purpose and benefits of using the standards. This is a three-hour course. Plan to spend a minimum of three hours on this course.
