This self-paced early childhood course is a comprehensive look at mental health issues among children and teens, updated with resources for the coronavirus pandemic. Topics include depression and anxiety, trauma and toxic stress, and mental health interventions. It teaches how to listen and to foster connections and a sense of safety to help students, both in-person and online. At the end of the course, early childhood professionals earn a Certificate of Completion for one and a half hours of ECE-TRIS credit.
